One Month

Today marks my one month start to my new lifestyle. I started on December 15, 2010. I am going to write a special entry after each month to update my monthly progress, feelings, etc.

Today: January 15, 2011
Weight lost: 12.2lbs (YEAH!)

Feelings: I am very excited that I have lost a little over 12 pounds in one month! I have definitely worked hard to get those 12 pounds off but it has been well worth it. I feel so much better now! I don't have the constant mood swings like I used to get or the roller coaster blood sugar warnings that I used to feel. I have more energy and it is a constant energy that starts after breakfast all the way until bedtime.
I also have really enjoyed trying new foods! It has been fun for me to try things that I used to think I would NEVER eat! Now, I have found so many yummy foods that are healthy. I have been one month without sodas and I don't even think about it now! The first 2 weeks were really tough because I was craving Diet Coke but now I don't even think twice about it. That is a victory in itself!

Goals for next month:
-Lose another 10 pounds (or more)
-Eat more vegetables
-Shop at the Farmer's Market
-Try 2 new veggies and 1 new fruit
-Plan a consistent exercise routine
-Practice my 5K walk on the January 26
-Receive my 5% lost award at Weight Watchers
-Continue to drink more water
-Log my food intake daily on Live Strong (Such an AWESOME site!)

  2. It is on Feb.26. I just want to "practice" to see what my time will be around and how I will feel energy wise throughout it. :)
